Former Duncan Bolt owner Andy Cohn was awarded an honorary membership in the Pacific-West Fastener Association.
“The Board of Directors honored Andy for his extraordinary personal contribution to the association over the years,” the association stated. “Enjoy your retirement, Andy!”
Cohn started in the fastener industry in the early 1970s at Allied International, which was owned by his importer father Eric Cohn.
Cohn and his wife, Virginia – daughter of Luke Sullivan of Sullivan Bolt, acquired Duncan Bolt in 1988. The couple sold the Southern California-based fastener distributorship in January 2021 through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and retired.
During his 46 years in the fastener industry, Cohn was the 2001-2002 president of the Western Association of Fastener Distributors, a co-founder of the Fastener Education Fund and a board member of the National Fastener Distributors Association. Email: 1951Andy@gmail.com
