Colders New LISI Aerospace CEO; Pat Meade to Retire from Hi-Shear

LISI Industries of France named Jean-Louis Colders as CEO of LISI Aerospace. \Colders will continue to coordinate LISI�s European Operations as vice president of Europe in addition to overseeing the Aerospace division.
LISI Aerospace also announced the appointment of Andre David as COO of U.S. Operations. David managed LISI�s Rugby facility.
Other appointments include Isabelle Carrere as vice president of administration and finance, who will also handle information technology, mergers and acquisitions and human resources; and Christian Fauchet as vice president of product development.
David to Succeed Meade
In addition, LISI reported that Pat Meade, CEO of U.S. Operations, will retire in 2004. Meade started in the fastener industry in 1966. LISI chairman Emmanuel Viellard thanked Meade for �his long and fruitful contribution to the industry and to LISI Aerospace.�
David will replace Meade upon his retirement.
LISI U.S. Operations include Hi-Shear Corp. in Torrance, CA, and Monadnock Co. in City of Industry, CA. LISI acquired aerospace fastener maker Monadnock in September 2002.
LISI Aerospace Forms New Business Groups
LISI Aerospace reorganized its companies into business units based on product and market segments. The group will operate in five units: Airframe Europe, headed by Michel Daumars, will include facilities in France; Airframe U.S., led by Phil Anderson, will manage production in Torrance and Tijuana, Mexico; Engine & Criticals, headed by Bernard Cazes, will oversee LISI�s French factories that produce engine fasteners, critical parts and structural fasteners; Specialty Fasteners in City of Industry, led by Christian Darville, will produce fasteners for structural and non-structural applications; and Racing, headed by Olivier Le Bars, will manufacture auto parts for Formula 1 racing and luxury cars.
LISI stated that the reorganization would be complete by January 2004.
LISI was known as GFI Aerospace until a name change earlier this year. LISI Aerospace is comprised of Hi-Shear; Monadnock; Blanc Aero Industries; Eurofast, a European distributor to the global aerospace market; and Blanc Aero Technologies, a supplier of specialty auto fasteners.
LISI also supplies the automotive industry through its threaded assembly components and clip assembly components divisions, and provides packaging products for the cosmetics industry.
