Columbus Conference Features Speck Workshop; Expo Seeking Tool, Safety & Software Exhibitors
John Wolz
A one-day workshop on “application engineering” will again be conducted by Jim Speck in conjunction with the National Industrial Fastener Show/East.
The workshop will be on Monday, May 20, 2002, in Columbus, OH, and the trade show on Tuesday.
Speck, an engineer with Johnson Gage, said the course “provides basic, practical technical skills necessary to increase your knowledge, confidence and metal approach to the fastener business.”
Show management announced it has signed Makita USA as an exhibitor, marking the first time in its 22-year history that a major specialty tool supplier will be at the Columbus show.
Show managers, after years of declining exhibitors and distributor registration, are trying to restructure the event to include more industrial distribution, safety products and software exhibits.
According to show management, thus far more than 85 companies have signed to exhibit this year.
