Danaher, Nucor Q3 Results

Danaher Corp. reported that strong performance in its Tools & Components segment, including fasteners, helped boost third quarter net earnings 32% to $116 million. Nucor Corp. reported third quarter consolidated sales increased 11% to $1.166 billion. Q3 net earnings nearly doubled to $39.2 million. For the first nine months of 2002, consolidated net sales rose 6% to $3.335 billion, while consolidated net earnings grew 38% to $119.2 million.
