Detroit Washers & Specials Names New QA Manager
Livonia, MI-based Detroit Washers & Specials has named Bob Elam as its new quality manager.
Prior to joining Detroit Washers, Elam worked for Dearborn, Mi-based United Bolt & Screw Co., where he served as quality manager for 22 years.
The news of Elam’s appointment comes as Detroit Washers was awarded ISO/TS16949:2009 certification as administrated by the International Automotive Task Force.
“This is an important milestone for us,” Elam stated. “Many of our customers were requesting TS16949 certification for their automotive and heavy truck applications, and we were listening. We’re now able to meet any of our customers’ quality requirements.”
The new certification, he said, raises the quality bar even higher for continual improvement, and higher customer satisfaction.
