Dyson Providing Fasteners for Manhattan Bridge Rehabilitation
Skanska Koch Inc. awarded Dyson Corp. a contract to provide bolt, nut, washer and plate assemblies for the rewrapping of the main cable and hand rope cable replacement for New York City’s Manhattan Bridge Rehabilitation Project.
The bridge, completed in 1909, connects Manhattan and Brooklyn over the East River.
Dyson installed new heat treating and part formers this year to double production capacity of hot formed parts. Dyson also added five CNC lathes, a milling machine to 13 lathes and two mills with added thread rolling capacity for bolls and coil rod products.
