Fastener search engine e-fastener.com will cease operations on January 31, 2009. Despite more than 100,000 page views a month, the site is closing so the company can focus on sister company Fastener Superstore Inc.
Founded in 1997 by Greg Fields and John Barnicle, Chicag-based e-fastener.com reports 14,000 registers users.
During the late 1990s the site was purchased by dot.com startup Partini Inc., which sold e-fastener.com back to Fields in 2001.
