EFC Int’l Subsidizes Employee Commute Costs

John Wolz

EFC International announced it will subsidize fuel expenses for all employees to commute to work. With oil and gas prices breaking records, EFC wants to keep employees from seeking other jobs closer to home.
EFC owner Doug Adams explained. There is “no reasonable forthcoming solution to the fuel expenses that are devastating to its employees, EFC and the world-wide economy,” Adams said. “We encourage all corporations to consider similar support for their employees during these extremely unusual fuel costs. We realize the absurdity of fuel prices more than most companies because we are a major supplier to the automotive industry.”

Founded in 1983, EFC International supplies specialty metal, plastic, electrical component parts to the OEM and distribution. EFC has branches in Atlanta and Chicago and will add a Toronto facility and is headquartered at 1940 Craigshire Rd., St. Louis, MO 63146.
