The FIN Company Performance Index held even at 6.8 in the 29th annual FIN Survey of the Fastener Industry. The FIN Index had been 7.5 at the end of the 2005 and 2004 before slipping to 6.8 a year ago.
FIN Survey participants are asked to rate their current company performance from 10 as record growth and profits to 0 as bankruptcy.
In the 14 years of the FIN Index it has ranged from a low of 5.6 at the end of 2001 to a high of 7.9 for 1994.
A total of 8.8% rated their companies at the perfect 10 of record growth and profits. No participants reported their companies at 1 or bankruptcy. The lowest were five companies at 4.
