Fastenal Co. reported fastener sales rose 13.1% in February, compared to a 16.3% sales gain of non-fastener products. Inclusion of Mansco, which Fastenal acquired in March 2017, added 3.6 pps to the daily sales growth of fasteners, the company stated.

Overall sales at Fastenal rose 14.8% to $372.8 million in February, with daily sales up 14.8% to $18.7 million.

Sales in the U.S. increased 12.7%, while total North American sales improved 14%.

Sales to manufacturing customers gained 15.9% during the month. Sales to non-residential construction customers rose 10.5%.

The company’s workforce grew 6.1% during February to 20,982 employees. Distribution personnel increased 9.8% to 2,646, while manufacturing personnel increased 7% to 628.

In 2017, fastener sales at Fastenal topped $1.56 billion (35.6% of overall sales), up 7.5% from $1.45 billion (36.6% of overall sales) in fastener sales during 2016. Web: Fastenal.com
