Fastener Fair Announces Updates on Trade Shows in Mexico, Brazil, Russia, India & Turkey
Fastener Fair announced updates on five of its trade shows: Mexico, Brazil, Russia, India and Turkey.
UK-based Mack Brooks Exhibitions’ flagship event is the biennial Fastener Fair Stuttgart. The 2013 show drew 800 exhibiting companies and 10,600 exhibitors. The next Fastener Fair Stuttgart will be March 10-12, 2015 in Germany.
• The second Fastener Fair Russia will be held in Moscow after the first was in St. Petersburg.
The next Fastener Fair Russia will be May 14-16, 2014, at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre.
Show organizer Restec-Brooks announced more than 100 companies from 18 countries have booked stands. The most exhibitors are from Russia, followed by China, Taiwan, Italy, Turkey and Germany.
Exhibition director Susanne Rauberger commented that the region’s economic growth is driven by rising real income and improvement in lifestyle of Muscovites and investment in infrastructure projects such as the high-speed railway track from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Major infrastructure projects also include the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The first Fastener Fair Russia was held in St. Petersburg in 2013. The trade show will return to St. Petersburg on March 24-26, 2015.

• Fastener Fair Brazil is adding networking events and an extra day due to exhibitor and visitor demand.
The trade show will be November 11-13, 2014, at the Expo Centre Norte in Sao Paulo.
The business roundtable hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mercosul and Americas will be on all three exhibition days due to high participation at the previous shows. The roundtable event invites buyers and suppliers to meet and exchange information. Throughout Fastener Fair Brazil presentations will be given by specialists on various topics.
The 2012 Brazil trade show drew 2,500 professional trade visitors from 25 countries – 96% of visitors were from South America. There were 141 exhibitors from 17 countries. Web: fastenerfair.br.com
• After the launch Fastener Fair Turkey in 2013, the second show will be November 20-21, 2014, at IFM (Istanbul Expo Centre). After this year Fastener Fair Turkey will adopt a two-year cycle.
Of the 135 exhibiting companies at Fastener Fair Turkey 2013, 60% are returning this year and 73% of stand space is booked. Half of the 2013 exhibitors were from outside Turkey – including Germany, Italy, France, Taiwan, China and the U.S. There were 1,700 visitors.
Advances in Turkey’s automotive and white goods manufacturing sectors, together with construction and infrastructure sectors, is driving domestic demand. Turkey is expecting real GDP growth between 3% and 5% over the next three years. Email: turkey@fastenerfair.com
• The third Fastener Fair India will be April 23-24, 2015, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
The major fastener markets in India are automotive, construction, rail, road, telecoms, domestic appliances, energy and petrochemicals. Poised to become a global innovation hub, India is predicted to become the world’s fifth largest consuming country and the third largest economy in the world by 2020.
The second Fastener Fair India last year totaled 145 exhibiting companies – with a majority of exhibitors from India. Almost a third of exhibitors were from outside India – including China, Taiwan, Germany, the UK, Italy, Vietnam and Korea.
Fastener Fair India reported 4,028 trade visitors in 2013.
Mack Brooks said 31% of the visitors were company owners; 26% managing directors, board members or department heads; 16% engineers and technical specialists; and an additional 13% have purchasing responsibility.
More than one-third (36%) of visitors were manufacturers; 29% users; 19% distributors/suppliers to users; and 16% wholesaler/resellers. Key industry sectors were automotive at 16%; mechanical engineering 15%; hardware/DIY retailing 9%; electrical products/domestic appliances 8%; and construction 6%.

• The second Fastener Fair Mexico will be held in March 2016, Mack Brooks managing director David Tellett announced.
The inaugural Mexico trade show earlier this year drew 2,461 fastener professionals at Centro Banamex in Mexico City. There were 142 exhibiting companies. Over one third of exhibitors were from Mexico. Exhibitors also came from USA, Canada, Panama, Indonesia, Spain, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, India, Brazil and China.
Most trade visitors came from Mexico (91%). Other countries represented included the U.S., UK, Colombia, Japan, Spain and Taiwan. Distributors/suppliers totaled 31% of visitors, followed by manufacturers (24%) and end users (25%). The main industry sector to which visitors belonged was automotive.
