The deadline for the early bird rates for both registration and hotels for Fastener Fair USA is April 26, 2019.

The second U.S. version of the global series of trade shows will be May 22-23, 2019, at the Cobo Center in Detroit.  

The trade show is open 10am-5pm Wednesday and 10am-3pm Thursday. Registration is $25 until April 26 and $40 after. There is a “Welcome Party” at the GM Renaissance Center from 5pm-8pm Wednesday.

There will be 15 conference and training sessions:   

  • The distributors conference track will focus on competitive advantage, new technology and best practices through presentations from industry experts. Mike White, Northeast regional manager for Brighton-Best International, will speak on “Executing at the Speed of Change,” and TR Fastenings Limited director Glenda Roberts’ topic is “Success in the Fastener Industry.”
  • PJ McCaughn, business development manager for Innovative Components, will give “Falling Down” tips, techniques and strategies to cope with being let go from a job, getting passed up for a promotion/new position, financial instability, and the loss of a loved one. McCaughn is also the president of Egeria Business/Sales & Marketing Consulting and on the board of Women in the Fastener Industry.
  • The Tech Talks Theater starts with “Fastening 101 – Understanding Threaded Fasteners with Emphasis on Automotive Fasteners,” the day before the show. It is sponsored by the Fastener Education Foundation.
  • Graham Immerman, director of marketing for Machine Metrics, will speak on digitalization and manufacturing: “The Key to Industry 4.0 Success: Why Most Projects Fail & How You Can Learn From Their Mistakes.”
  • Carmen Vertullo of Carver Consulting and Rob LaPointe, AIM Testing Laboratory vice president, will discuss how successful businesses use quality management to identify, assess, assign and strategize for risk management.

Fastener Fair currently also has trade shows in India, Mexico, Italy, Turkey, France and what is considered the world’s largest fastener trade show – Fastener Fair Stuttgart. The first Fastener Fair USA was held in 2018 in Cleveland.
