Fastener Manufacturer Gets State Grant To Help Retain Jobs

Fastener manufacturer John Hassall Inc. was awarded a grant of up to $90,000 from the Empire State Development Corporation, according to the Long Island Business News.

The grant reportedly will be used to offset the $1.15 million cost of new machinery and employee training in order to keep the Westbury, NY-based company competitive, helping the company retain 74 jobs, according to a statement.

Founded in New York City in 1850, John Hassall produces custom designed fasteners and other metal parts for the aerospace, automotive, commercial and medical industries. ©2010 GlobalFastenerNews.com
