Fastenal Co. reported fastener sales increased 23.7% in November, rising 23.2% during the month compared to a 1.7% decline during November 2020 and a 23.2% increase in October 2021.
Overall sales grew 18.9% to $524.2 million, while daily sales totaled $24.9 million, up 13.2% from the previous November.
Sales in the U.S. rose 12.8%, while sales in Canada and Mexico gained 14.1%.
By end market, sales to manufacturing customers gained 22.6%, with sales to non-residential construction customers slowing to 1.4% growth in November.
Fastenal’s workforce increased 0.8% during the month to 20,523 employees. Distribution personnel increased 4.2% to 2,713, while manufacturing personnel grew 1.3% to 621 workers.
In the third quarter of 2021, Fastenal reported fastener sales grew 20.2% to $519.1 million (33.4% of net sales), driven by higher manufacturing and construction demand. Net sales rose 10% to $1.55 billion. Web: Fastenal.com
