Fastenal Co. reported fastener sales jumped 11.8% in July, continuing the company’s fastener success that began in February, when Fastenal said fastener sales improved 1.5% – marking the company’s first uptick in fastener sales since the third quarter of 2015.

Overall Fastenal sales rose 12.9% to $350 million in July, with daily sales growing 12.9% to $17.5 million.

Sales in the U.S. gained 11.8%, while overall North American sales improved 12.8%.

Sales to manufacturing customers rose 14.2% in July, while sales to non-residential construction customers increased 6.6%.

Fastenal’s workforce increased 0.1% to 20,230 during the month, which included a o.7% rise in manufacturing personnel to 603. Distribution personnel increased 2% to 2,544.

During the second quarter of 2017, daily sales of fastener products, which represented 36.1% of overall Q2 sales, grew 7.9% to $404.9 million. Web: fastenal.com
