Faulty Washer Prompts BMW Recall

Problems related to a washer on certain BMW 2007-2010 F 650 GS motorcycles prompted the German manufacturer to recall about 1,835 of them.

“A washer may interfere with the front disc brake fasteners’ torque,” the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated. “As a result, over time, a fastener or multiple fasteners could become loose, allowing the brake disc to become loose.”

The models were manufactured from November 2006 through January 2010.
