FIN Survey: 75% Raise Prices in 2007

More than three-quarters of the industry raised prices during 2007, according to preliminary results from the End of 2007 FIN Survey of the Fastener Industry.\
A total of 75.2% raised prices, 16.8% held prices the same and only 2.7% lowered prices.
An even higher percentage of distributors raised prices (80.4%) compared with 77.5% of manufacturers and 69.2% of importers.
In the next six months 92.3% of importers anticipate raising prices, 73.9% of distributors and 70% of manufacturers.
