The FIN Fastener Stock Index strengthened in the second quarter of 2013, gaining 5.1% compared to 1.4% by an index of related industrial stocks.

Dorman Products achieved the highest percentage increase in Q2, gaining 22.6%.

Other FINdex fastener companies whose share value gained 10% or more during the period include Grainger, ITW and Precision Castparts.

During the first half of 2013 the FINdex gained 15%, besting a 12.2% gain by an index of related industrial stocks.

Park-Ohio was the clear winner during the first half, gaining 55% in share value. 

Other FINdex companies gaining 20% or more in stock price during the opening half included Chicago Rivet (39%), Barnes (33%), Lawson (30), Dorman Products (29%), B/E Aerospace (28%) and Grainger (25%).
