FMW Fasteners Introduces Free & Flat-Rate Online Shipping

Following the Amazon.com model, FMW Fasteners has rolled out a streamlined shipping model that offers free and flat rate shipping. Effective January, 2011 all online orders placed through FMW Fasteners’ online store (fmwfasteners.com) that are $25.00 or more ship free.

Any orders placed online that are less than $25.00 ship for a flat rate of $5.00.
 

“The fastener industry as a whole has been very slow to adopt certain business processes and practices that are considered commonplace in other industries,” said Taha Raja, General Manager of FMW Fasteners.
 

“We want to provide our customers with the same service level and buying experience that is being delivered by the large online retailers, but with the focus, selection and knowledge provided by a specialty fastener distributor.”
 

“We’ve seen that a barrier to many companies and end users buying nuts, bolts and screws online is the freight cost,” said Steve Baker, Sales Manager at FMW Fasteners. “We want to remove that barrier so that someone looking for a hard to find hex bolt or a specific type of decking screw or wood screw can literally point, click and buy unimpeded by the worry of how much their shipping will be.”
