Former Nylok and Saturn Fasteners executive Scott Plantinga was named executive vice chairman of IDS Solar Technologies.

His role includes oversight of company operations with a focus on manufacturing, assembly and quality control and quality assurance.

Plantinga, 54, will collaborate with CEO Bruce Knoblich and senior management on formulation and implementation of IDS Solar Technologies’ commercialization strategy, product roadmap and manufacturing process.

Plantinga is a certified manufacturing engineer.
