Fastener Technology Corp. (FTC) was acquired by Shimtech Industries for an undisclosed sum.

Founded by Bulent Gulistan in 1979, FTC is a North Hollywood, CA-based supplier of high-strength specialty fasteners for commercial and military aerospace applications. The company has more than 400 customers, including Lockheed Martin, Click Bond, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Raytheon, and Wesco. Web: FTC-USA.com

The existing management team, led by President Dennis Suedkamp, will continue to operate the business, Shimtech stated in a press release.

“We are excited about the complementary nature of our products and look forward to building on Mr. Gulistan’s foundation as we serve our customers and take our business to the next level,” stated Shimtech CEO Brian Williams.

Santa Clarita, CA-based Shimtech’s aerospace divisions include four manufacturing facilities in the U.S., three in Europe and one in Mexico. Their C-Class Components Division manufactures high-volume metallic and composite detailed components that are complementary with FTC’s fastener products.
