FTI Schedules 6 Webinars

The Fastener Training Institute will conduct six product training webinars during the first half of 2015.

Carmen Vertullo, of San Diego-based CarVer Consulting, will guide the webinars. Vertullo holds a bachelor’s in manufacturing engineering technology.

The FTI’s first webinar was held in 2014.

The 2015 interactive webinars begin at 11 a.m. and are one hour plus a 30-minute question and answer period.  Students need only a computer with high speed internet to participate.

January 23: Understanding Fastener Materials – Beyond the basics

February 20: The Use, Misuse & Abuse of Washers – Types, styles and applications

March 13, 20 and 27: Fastener Basics / 3-part series

April 17: Choosing the Correct Strength of Fastener – When is too much not a good thing?

May 22: The Right Torque & When It’s Not – Primer plus introduction to advanced class

June 19: Vibration Resistant Fasteners – How to keep fasteners tight

In addition to webinars, FTI will offer 30+ traditional in-person product training classes in 10 cities during 2015.
