G.L. Huyett Completes Precision Specialties Deal
Fastener manufacturer and master distributor G.L. Huyett completed its acquisition of fastener distributor Precision Specialties, LLC, of Collierville, TN.
G.L. Huyett announced the deal on October 19, as reported on GlobalFastenerNews.com.
“This acquisition compliments G.L. Huyett’s strategy to grow our business exponentially through the addition of a broader customer base that includes Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), an increased number of product lines and suppliers, and an extended footprint with a larger talent pool,” stated G.L. Huyett CEO Tim O’Keeffe.
“We feel this is a great opportunity to grow our operations as Precision Specialties’ proximity to Memphis, TN, provides greater accessibility to Northeast and Southern regions of the U.S.,” O’Keeffe added.
Since 1981, Precision Specialties has distributed industrial and specialty fasteners for automotive, electrical, industrial, and safety industries. In addition to their own brand of spring washers, wave washers, and belleville washers, Precision Specialties distributes AVK threaded inserts, studs, and tools; Oetiker connecting and mounting clamps, rings, straps, quick connectors, and tools; and A Raymond Tinnerman Palnut push-nuts, retainers, and plastic nylon fasteners. Founded in 1906 by Guy Huyett to produce and distribute machinery bushings, G.L. Huyett is one of the oldest continuously operating businesses in Kansas.
Today, Minneapolis, KS-based G.L. Huyett is a manufacturer, master distributor and importer of non-threaded fasteners and grease fittings.
