A year ago was attempting to acquire Honeywell International, with the deal including TriStar Aerospace and Banner Aerospace Inc. But European officials rejected approval and the deal died.
This year GE did pick up a fastener business when its $2.5 billion GE Supply division bought the bankrupt Questron Technologies Inc. GE renamed the company GE Supply Logistics LLC. The new company plans a headquarters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. GE Supply is headquartered in Shelton, CT.
GE Supply Logistics president Jason Jones said the former Questron will supply the estimated quarter-million-dollar GE fastener market on an arms-length basis with other vendors. In addition, GE Supply Logistics will seek to be a player in the fastener industry and distribute outside of our core industries.
