GM Recalls 2009-2010 Cadillac CTS Over Rear Suspension Fasteners
General Motors discovered a potential safety hazard on 2009-2010 Cadillac CTS models, involving the rear suspension design, according to a NHTSA report.
A wax coating on jam nuts on the rear suspension’s toe link reportedly could cause fasteners to come loose, causing the driver to loose control.
GM recalled the models to remove the wax coating and replace them, though in some cases the rear toe link might need to be replaced.
The recall affects 44,147 units built between June 16, 2008, and April 17, 2009. ©2011 GlobalFastenerNews.com
