Groov-Pin Corp. received silver certification for its Best Wellness Employer program for the fourth year from Wellness Workdays.

GP Fit includes physical, mental, social and financial parts of employees’ lives.

Among the programs are Walk to Wellness which features different themes, goals and prizes for each walk.  In addition to physical health the program encourages socialization and improving mental health. In 2021, Groov-Pin sponsored a walking challenge with employees raised $500 for Crossroads Rhode Island’s Domestic Violence program.

One of GP Fit’s goals for 2022 is to ensure employees make the most of the benefits available and earn money to pay for healthcare expenses.  By participating and completing various wellness tasks, employees can earn up to $775 toward healthcare expenses. Participants in daily step goals can earn $1,905 per year deposited to their health savings account.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the program shifted focus to mental and social health resources.  Last summer GP Fit hosted socially-distanced outdoor yoga classes.
