Half of 1st Fastener Fair Turkey Exhibitors From Outside

Half of the exhibitors at the first Fastener Fair Turkey will be from outside the country.

Fastener Fair Turkey will be November 21-22, 2013, at IFM – Istanbul Expo Centre.

Of the 134 exhibitors thus far, half are foreign companies from 15 countries.

Exhibition director Olivia Griscelli said exhibitors from Germany, Italy, France, North America, Taiwan, China and India, shows the “level of international support for the first Fastener Fair in Istanbul demonstrates clearly both the geographic and economic significance of Turkey.”

The other half of exhibitors are Turkish fastener manufacturers and suppliers.

Show organizer Mack Brooks Exhibitions noted Turkey’s location between Asia and Europe and proximity to multiple markets has fueled interest in the trade show.

Turkey is forecast to be the second fastest growing economy in the world by 2018 with manufactured goods accounting for 90% of exports.

Turkey ranks 8th in Europe for passenger car production and first for both commercial vehicles and buses. Turkey has started high-speed rail links and has earmarked US$25 billion for Turkish Railways over the next decade. There also are major developments in power generation, marine engineering and residential construction.

The trade show is near Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport and accessible by public transit. Online advance registration for visitors is free. Onsite entrance tickets are 10 Turkish Liras (US$4.95).  Web: FastenerFairTurkey.com ©2013 GlobalFastenerNews.com
