Sales at Heads & Threads International LLC soared 35% to $37.8 million during the first quarter of 2004, helping parent company Alleghany Corp. post impressive quarterly results. Overall sales at Alleghany jumped 148% to $344.2 million, while net profit increased seven-fold to $62.1 million.
