Heico’s Claro, Ivaco’s Perlus Leaving Company
Jason Sandefur
Heico Metal Processing Group CEO Galdino Claro has left to assume a top spot at another unnamed metals company. Heico Metal Processing Group is part of Heico Cos., which also owns Canadian fastener producer Ivaco.
Claro’s departure also reportedly means that Tom Perlus, president of supply chain at Heico Metal Processing Group, is out of a job.
Perlus, who had reported to Claro, was dismissed after Claro’s announcement. Most recently Perlus, 58, served as president of Ivaco Rolling Mills LP. Perlus was a 36-year veteran of Ivaco and had only worked in his position with Heico since January.
Claro’s departure does not appear to indicate further management changes at Ivaco Rolling Mills. Giorgio Piliu remains president of Ivaco Rolling Mills. \ 2008 FastenerNews.com
