Hillman Acquires OOK Brand Products
The Hillman Group purchased certain assets of Micasa Trading Corp. a Miami-based producer of OOK picture hanging fasteners and related products. Micasa revenue in 2010 exceeded $15 million.
Established in 1964 by David Weck, Micasa developed into a major supplier of picture hanging fasteners and ‘innovative’ parts within the retail hardware market.
The OOK brand’s excellence in this specialty category strengthens Hillman’s position of providing value-added products and services to home centers and hardware retailers, according to Hillman.
“Micasa has built an outstanding reputation among its customers with a strong tradition of quality products and great customer service,” explained Hillman CEO Max “Mick” Hillman Jr. “Hillman intends to support the OOK brand’s well established position as a premium line of picture hanging products.”
Founded in 1964, Cincinnati-based Hillman is a value-added distributor of over 60,000 SKUs, consisting of fasteners, key duplication systems, tags and related hardware items to over 20,000 retail customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America and Australia.
