Honeywell Promotes Former Fairchild Fasteners Exec
Diversified technology and manufacturing company Honeywell named Briand Greer president for Southeast Asia, MIS Asia reports.
Greer formerly served as president of Honeywell Aerospace in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Honeywell in 2002, Greer worked as director of Worldwide Distribution for Fairchild Fasteners.
“Briand will… lead our outstanding team to continue to grow and establish Honeywell’s products, technologies, and brand name in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, and throughout this fast growing region,” said Shane Tedjarati, president of Global High Growth Regions at Honeywell.
Fairchild Fasteners was acquired by Alcoa in 2002 and combined with Alcoa’s Huck to form Alcoa Fastening Systems.

Alcoa entered the fastener industry in 2000 with the acquisition of Cordant Technologies Inc. Cordant had owned Huck since 1991.
