Honeywell announced aerospace sales, included fasteners, grew 9% to $2.5 billion in the first quarter of 2005, while segment profit increased 26% to $379 million. Sales gains were driven by 12% growth in commercial markets and 5% growth in defense and space sales.
“Aerospace had an outstanding quarter, supported by increased OE deliveries, aftermarket growth and continued growth in demand for defense products and services,” noted CEO Dave Cote.
Overall Q1 sales gained 4% to $6.5 billion, while net income 21.6% to $359 million. Web: honeywell.com 2005 FastenerNews.com
