Hurley: 2012 NIFMSE Booth Sales Pace Ahead of Last Year

Hotels Near Sands Convention Center Range From $45 to $439
Las Vegas has 124,270 hotel rooms, including 62,000 on the 4.2-mile Las Vegas strip.

15 of the world’s largest hotels are located on the Strip.

Hotels located in proximity to the Sands Convention Center and recent prices on Hotels.com include: Treasure Island $93; Wynn Las Vegas $379; Mirage $99; Encore Wynn $292; Hurrahs $60; Embassy $104; Blair House Suites $75; Westin $159; Platinum $1423; Fairfield Inn $139; BW Mardi Gras $45; Imperial Palace $45; Tuscany Suites $50; and Caesars Palace $184.

Show management’s hotels include the Venetian and Palazzo at $200 and 10% below online prices at Harrah’s and Flamingo.

The least expensive Las Vegas rooms on Hotels.com were Palace Station at $25; and both Days Inn at Wild Wild West and Circus Circus at $26.

Most expensive was The Skylofts at MGM Grand, $750.

The National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo is running ahead of the booth sales pace a year ago, general manager Susan Hurley announced.

Thus far 715 booths have been sold to 554 companies – up from 632 booths and 471 companies at the same time a year ago, Hurley said.

The show will be October 10-12, 2012, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. Conferences and an opening reception are on Wednesday; the trade show is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.

“We expect to have close to 800 booths by show time,” Hurley added.
