IFI Publishes Standards Reference

The Industrial Fasteners Institute published the 7th Edition of its Fastener Standards reference book�the first update since 1988.\
The 1,277-page text of technical information, includes combination drive systems, plus updated guidelines on fastener design, selection, materials, strength properties, test methods, quality assurance, purchase and installation.
IFI director of engineering Charles Wilson described the �largest single compilation of inch-series fastener standards ever published, and includes 104 standards. Twenty-four of these standards are new introductions beyond the scope of previous editions. Overall, 36 ASME, 37 ASTM, 27 IFI, and 4 SAE standards are included.�
The text is written for design and manufacturing engineers, distributors, plant engineers, purchasing agents, those who specify or test fasteners, or use mechanical fasteners.
Fastener Standards has been published by IFI since 1941.
