Interfast Launches European Division

Fastener distributor Interfast Inc. launched Interfast Europe Ltd., a new European division formed through its recent acquisition of UK-based Burwood Fastener Products Ltd. Interfast Europe will support customers in the European aerospace and industrial fastener markets.
“Interfast Europe integrates the best of both organizations and will offer a comprehensive range of fastener products from more than 40 manufacturers, engineering product support and extensive supply chain management expertise,” stated Peter Oleck, director of Interfast Inc. and general manager of Interfast USA. “We’re confident that the newly formed organization will bring a new critical mass to servicing the European market.”
David Proctor was appointed general manager of Interfast Europe Ltd., and Howard Gerstein was named director of sales and marketing. The company said it has no plans to change existing staff. Interfast signed a letter of intent to acquire Burwood in early August.
