Jergens Industrial Acquires John M. Allen Company

Jergens Industrial Supply acquired certain assets of the John M. Allen Company.

Founded in 1953, the Allen Company today provides metalworking consumables including cutting tools, carbide and other tool inserts, abrasives, metal working fluids, drills, machine tools and accessories, MRO and vending inventory management.

JIS general manager Matt Schron said the combined companies allows them to “leverage the knowledge, experiences and relationships both companies have within the marketplace to better serve manufacturing end users not only in northeast Ohio, but nationwide.”

The acquisition “also gives JIS the opportunity to partner with and represent additional leading metal cutting industry suppliers,” Schron added.

Allen Company president Frank Whalen said “as part of JIS we now have the advantage of relying on over 100 years of combined experience and service, representing an expanded and robust line of core suppliers.”

Jergens Industrial distributes fasteners, abrasives, clamping and workholding tools, cutting tools, lifting equipment and safety supplies from 300 U.S. manufacturers. Web: jis.com
