Judy and Jerry Jandl Retiring From Sigma Fasteners
Sigma Fasteners Inc. founders Judy Jandl and Jerry Jandl are retiring and Cris Baker is the new president.
Judy Jandl was the founding president and Jerry Jandl vice president. She has been in the fastener industry since starting at Lone Star Screw Company in the late sixties – a company she later went on to run and own.
The Houston Business Journal recognized her in 1995 as one of the Top 50 Woman Owned Businesses in Houston.
Jerry Jandl started Jandl Manufacturing in his garage. The company later became a Lone Star subsidiary.
The Jandl’s teamwork spanned decades in the specialty high pressure bolting and coating industries.
Today Sigma bolts are in oilfields from the Middle East to South America.
Judy has been transitioning leadership to Baker – who has 25 years of fastener experience.
“I’ve learned so much from both of them through the years and I’ve always tried to live up to their standards – building a great company through great people, great products, and strong commitment to quality innovations, now tasked with holding our team to those high principles, I embrace the opportunity,” Baker said.
