Lamons Expanding Footprint in Brazil
TriMas Corp. subsidiary Lamons expanded its footprint in the rapidly growing energy market of Brazil with the acquisition of Gasket Vedações Técnicas Ltda.
Located in Rio de Janeiro, Gasket Vedações Técnicas Ltda manufactures and supplies ring-type joints for the onshore and offshore drilling markets, as well as distributing additional gasket types for the refining and petrochemical markets. Web: gasket.com.br/
The deal follows Lamons’ July 2012 acquisition of Brazilian-based CIFAL, a manufacturer and supplier of specialty fasteners and bolts.
“This new acquisition allows us to broaden our product offering in the country to include gaskets, and offers additional opportunities for continued growth and the ability to be in close proximity to our customers,” stated Lamons president Kurt Allen.
Over the past several years, Lamons has opened sales and service branches, and expanded further through such acquisitions as CIFAL and the 2010 acquisition of South Texas Bolt & Fitting.
Headquartered in Houston, TX, Lamons designs, manufactures and distributes industrial sealing products and fasteners for the petroleum refining, petrochemical, oil field and other industrial markets. Web: lamons.com ©2013 GlobalFastenerNews.com
