Lanfranco of France Adds North American Warehouses to Supply Growing Rail Fastener Market

Security railway fastener manufacturer J.Lanfranco et Cie of France opened North American warehouses due to increased demand in the North and South American rail market, sales manager Jason Baines announced.

Lanfranco manufactures security railway fasteners and supplier of self-locking nuts, bolts, inserts and modular fixtures for rolling stock, high-speed rail, track work, signals and electrification in Europe and Asia.

Lanfranco also anticipates growth in the mining and processing, compressor, power and wind energy sectors.

The North American subsidiary, J.Lanfranco Fastener Systems Inc. opened in Montreal in 1996. There are now Canadian branches in Calgary and Toronto; U.S. branches in Rochester and White Plains, NY, Runnemede, NJ, and Chicago; plus facilities in Mexico, Brazil and Chile.

The Lanfranco slotted self-locking system utilizes elastic properties that enable the nut to be reused many times while resistant to many loosening factors, including vibration, shock, impact and alternating currents. The single-piece all-metal design provides locking ability in extreme temperatures or corrosion.
