Show management reported booth sales for the 12th annual National Industrial Fastener Show/West are 5% ahead of last year’s pace.
At 829 booths, the 2007 show broke the NIFS record of 653 booths in 1996.
The trade show will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 3-4, 2008, at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Conferences and an opening reception will be on Sunday.
“We are running well ahead of previous years with 776 booths contracted by 598 companies at the end of May,” show manager Susan Hurley announced.
Exhibiting companies are taking more space than in 2007, Hurley added. Exhibitors are averaging 1.3 booths per company, compared with 1.2 booths per company, according to show management figures.
Hurley predicted more than 900 of the 1,150 booths on the floor plan will be sold. The basic booth price is $1,795 for 2008, up from $1,695 in 2007 and $1,395 in 2006.
