LISI Group To Buy Acument Fastener Plants

The LISI Group subsidiary LISI Automotive has extended an offer to take over two automotive fastener plants in France operated by Acument Global Technologies, the French newspaper L’ Echo reports.

LISI Automotive submitted its offer for an undisclosed sum on November 2.

The two plants are located in Bonneuil-sur-Marne (Val de Marne) and La Ferté Fresnel (Orne), with a combined workforce of 350 and estimated revenue of EUR 40 million (US$59.5 million) in 2009, according to L’ Echo.

The deal is expected to close by December 31.

In October Acument announced it will shutter its Camcar Aerospace facility in Rockford, less than two years after returning to the “Fastener Capital of the World” with plans for $70 million in aerospace production by 2010.
