Chris Locke was promoted to general manager at Nucor Fastener, effective June 18, 2017.

Locke began his Nucor career in 2008 as maintenance and engineering manager with Nucor Steel – Decatur. He also managed Melting and Casting.

Prior to joining Nucor, Locke worked in the industry at Arcelor Mittal, North Star BHP, and US Steel.

Locke earned a BS in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue University.

Nucor entered the fastener business in 1986 when it opened its $25 million plant in St. Joe, IN. With 75,000 tons of capacity, the automated facility produces hex-head cap screws, hex bolts, structural bolts and custom engineered fasteners.
