Mack Brooks: 1st Hannover Show Draws 4,440

The first Fastener Fair Hannover drew 4,440 people the show organizers announced.

There were 400 exhibiting companies from 31 countries at the April 22-25, 2012, trade show in conjunction with Germany’s largest industrial exhibition, the Hannover Industry Fair.

The first-time show was designed to be OEM-oriented, in contrast to the distribution-oriented Fastener Fair Stuttgart. The next biennial Stuttgart will be February 26-28, 2013.

Fastener visitors to Hannover Messe shuttled to Hall 21 from the main halls on the Hannover fairground.

“We see this as good response to a new event,” show director Susanne Rauberger said. “especially considering the very international nature of the visitors, who came from 75 countries; the top five being Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, UK and Poland.”

Exhibitors reported both OEMs and distributor attendees approaching booths, Fastener+Fixing editor Phil Matten reported.

The mix of exhibitors at Hannover was “good and represented a wide spectrum of technologies and products,” Matten said.

Preliminary results from Mack Brooks’ post-show exhibitor survey indicate 84% of respondents fully or partially met their aims at the show.

The international trade show organizer Mack Brooks acquired Fastener Fair in early 2010 and has expanded with Fastener Fairs in Mumbai, Sao Paulo, Russia and Thailand, in addition to Hannover. Web: FastenerFair.com ©2012 GlobalFastenerNewes.com and Fastener + Fixing Magazine
