Marine Fasteners Inc. opened a new 54,000 sq ft facility in Indiana. The branch is located on 6.6 acres of the 48-acre Beck Industrial Park. The new park was certified by the Indiana Economic Development Corp., which prepares communities for business development.
Marine is expected to add 14 new jobs by 2015.
Marine Fasteners, founded in 1984, opened its first Elkhart branch facility in 1987.
“We were way over our capacity for the last year at the previous building so our efficiencies had diminished in terms of getting product out the door, operations quality manager John Creekmore told the South Bend Tribune. The market for Marine Fastener’s products has been growing by 20% per year, Creekmore added.
The new facility, headed by branch manager Steve Hunsberger, is now at 55165 Stainless Dr., Elkhart, IN 46516. Tel: 574 264-2279 Fax 574 264-3374.
Marine Fasteners, acquired by Würth Group in 2008, is headed by CEO Keith Brantley and distributes stainless steel fasteners to the marine, industrial and construction industries. Marine also has branches in Missouri and Nevada and is headquartered at 120 Maritime Dr., Sanford, FL 32771. Tel: 407 321-2994 or 800 862-7463 Fax 407 330-0951 Web: marfas.com
