Metropolitan, New England Cooperating on Northeast Tabletop Show

The Metropolitan Fastener Distributors Association and the New England Fastener Distributors Association are cooperating on a September 17, 2007, Northeast Tabletop Show in Massachusetts following a golf outing the day before in New Jersey. Metropolitan has hosted a tabletop show in New Jersey for 11 years. NEFDA chairman John Morton announced the tabletop will be a Northeast event as MFDA is taking a year off.

The Northeast Tabletop Show will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2007, at the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, MA. MFDA will continue to host a golf outing the day before the Northeast tabletop. The September 16 event will be at the Wild Turkey Country Club in New Jersey.

MFDA last autumn announced that because of “the growing number of industry shows and its genuine concern and consideration for its members” increasing obligations and time constrains, the MFDA board was considering making its annual table top an every-other-year event.
MFDA uses proceeds for scholarships.

Admission to the Northeast show is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The fee includes the trade show, parking and buffet. Exhibitor fees will be $300 per table for NEFDA members and $400 for non-members. The fee includes a draped nine foot table, sign, two exhibitor badges, exhibitor set-up luncheon buffet; parking, program booklet with information on all exhibitors and list of all attendees. The conference center will be available to exhibitors for product or educational presentations. Kanebridge Corporation and ND Industries will host a reception at the end of the show.
