MFDA Honored for Toys-for-Tots Program

The Metropolitan Fastener Distributors Association earned the “National Corporate Donor” designation for its “Toys for Tots” campaign, president Jay Minichino announced.

MFDA members donated the most toys ever, Toys for Tots chair Rob Rundle said.
Some MFDA members are “themselves are still struggling with the after effects of Hurricane Sandy,” Minichino noted.

The annual Toys-for-Tots campaign culminated with the association’s holiday party at Al Di La Restaurant in New Jersey.

According to the director of the Toys for Tots drive, the MFDA’s cash donation of five thousand dollars in addition to the toy donation, means the MFDA will be designated as one of just 27 companies to qualify as a “National Corporate Donor” for the 2014 drive.

Companies, corporations and individuals which contribute or help raise between $5,000 and $24,999 in cash or between $25,000 and $99,999 worth of toys in support of the 2012 Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Campaign are put on the National Corporate Donors List.
