Midwest Fastener Establishing New Distribution Center

Michigan-based Midwest Fastener Corp. paid $1.1 million for a 65,000 sq ft facility in Gloversville, NY, to establish a distribution center, the Business Review reports.

Kalamazoo, MI-based Midwest Fastener reportedly outbid a kayak company for the former Calloway Golf factory, which had been on the market for three years at an asking price of $2 million, according to the Review.

Operations manager Clair Carr told the Review that Midwest Fastener is currently renovating the facility. The company plans to use about 45,000 sq ft of the building to distribute packaged fasteners to hardware stores and industrial clients.

Midwest Fastener intends to employ between eight and 12 workers at the facility as it consolidates the inventory of a smaller distribution center in Wilkes-Barre, PA, into the Gloversville location.
