Mowris To Head ‘New’ Rockford Products

BlackEagle Partners announced a new management team for Rockford Products, the Rockford Register Star reports.
Dick Mowris was named president. Mowris is a 19-year employee who most recently served as vice president of international operations.
Four others longtime employees were named to the management team. Jim Wood was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing; John Waller was named vice president of engineering and IT; Rick Edwards became vice president of operations; and Brent Norquist was promoted to director of finance and accounting.
After buying Rockford Products at court auction for about $23.2 million, BlackEagle ousted current management, including CEO Ray Wood, cold formed products division president David Peterson, CFO Doug Wells, and international group president Dick Goff.
Slow automotive products sales and rising pension costs forced Rockford Products to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 25. The company, which was founded in 1929 as Rockford Screw Products, reported 2006 sales of $101 million. Web: rockfordproducts.com \ 2007 FastenerNews.com
