MW Industries Relocates To Chicago

MW Industries relocated its corporate headquarters to the Chicago area from Logansport, IN. The new 8,000 sq ft office is located in the Rosemont Corporate Center at 9501 Technology Boulevard, Rosemont, IL.
The fastener and specialty springs manufacturer said the new base of operations would “better situate the company to achieve its aggressive growth plans.”

“Our new offices give us updated and increased space to accommodate the company’s continued expansion,” stated CEO Bill Marcum.

“We identified several possible locations and selected Rosemont for its unparalleled access to transportation.”

Marcum added that the Chicago location “will better enable us to retain and attract talented employees who will help drive our business.”

MW Industries called its new headquarters a “modern, highly energy efficient building located near Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and hotels that will allow for expedited travel and accommodations for its employees and customers.”

The company neither sought nor received incentives from Rosemont or Illinois to relocate, according to the Chicago Tribune.

MW Industries reportedly owns 14 U.S. manufacturing facilities, including two in the Chicago area.

Founded in 1976, Chicago-based MW Industries manufactures engineered mechanical components, including highly-engineered springs, specialty fasteners, machined components, precision stampings and custom wire forms. The company serves more than 23,000 OEM and MRO customers in the medical, heavy truck, electronics, agriculture and construction, military and aerospace, energy and automotive sectors.

In March 2012 MW Industries acquired Mississippi-based Pontotoc Spring, a division of Union Spring & Manufacturing Corp. of Monroeville, PA. And in June the company acquired Concord, NC-based Hi-Tech Machine.
