National Spotlight Continues for Cardinal Fastener
Nearly two years after Barack Obama, en route to his inauguration, visited Cardinal Fastener — thrusting the Bedford Heights, OH-based company into the international spotlight, CEO John Grabner continues to garner attention for his company’s participation in the green economy.
On November 10, Grabner was interviewed on National Public Radio’s “Talk of the Nation” as part of the “new face of manufacturing.”
Grabner was interviewed by phone from Las Vegas, where he was attending the National Industrial Fastener Show/West.
He credited Cardinal Fastener’s expansion to manufacture wind turbine bolts for producing a “significant,” sustainable recovery for his company.
“This year alone, in a three-month timeframe, we increased our employment 47%,” Grabner stated. “And that’s just to keep up with the demand of supplying the product for construction of the new wind turbines.”
